What is Micro-Needling?

Micro-Needling is a minimally invasive technique that uses fine needles that gently puncture the epidermis (upper layer of the skin) and glides across the face neck or body to enhance the skin’s function and encourage cell regeneration.

A topical anaesthetic is applied and an electric device is used to puncture the skin at a speed of 90 times per minute. The depth of the needle depends on the individual requirements.
A hand-held roller home use device can be also be used 2 to 3 times per week or even daily to assist longer term skin results. Since the Micro-Needling home kits do not penetrate the skin as deeply, no anaesthetic is required.

What are the Benefits of Micro-Needling?

Micro-Needling provides a simple solution to a range of skin concerns including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, large pores, stretch marks and sun damaged, pigmented skin. Ideal for all skin types, it can be used safely to improve the texture of skin and achieves a smoother, brighter and a younger complexion.
What Results Can I Expect?

After the procedure your body will start to naturally regenerate and repair skin, working below the surface of the dermal layer. This takes time as new collagen is formed, new skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced. It can take between 4 and 6 weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a natural and long-lasting enhancement.
